Jarrow March – 12 Oct

Demo/Rally and SACA Public Meeting

 Sheffield Anti Cuts Alliance is supporting The Youth Fight for Jobs campaign’s  recreation of the Jarrow march, with dozens of unemployed youth marching the full original route, and hundreds more activists joining them for part of the route.

The march will arrive in Sheffield on Wednesday 12 October and upon arrival will hold a demonstration at 4:00 outside Bailey Court Jobcentre, followed by a rally at 5:00 outside Sheffield Town Hall.

 Public Meeting: No return to the 1930‘s

 7:30 p.m.  Richard Roberts Building lecture theatre Sheffield University (by Brook Hill roundabout)

 Speakers include A Jarrow Marcher, Steve Turner (UNITE), Marion Lloyd (PCS National Executive), Collette Williams (Black Activists Rising Against Cuts) and National Union of Teachers, with contributions from the floor welcomed.
